August 1st – Celebrate Swiss National Day

August 1st is celebrated as Swiss National Day.  This day is historic because in 1291 three cantons from Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden regions created an alliance and swore eternal allegiance to one another, promising reciprocated help and unyielding support.  This pact has become the central focus of government for Switzerland.

If you are lucky enough to be in Switzerland there are many community events taking place but one of the biggest and most spectacular is at the Waterfalls of the Rhine River near Schaffhausen.  This waterfall is beautifully illuminated and is accompanied by fireworks –attracting thousands of spectators from around the world.  If you are not able to be there in person join me by being there in spirit by having fondue for dinner tonight!

The Swiss are famous for many things – clocks and watches; chocolate; towering snow-capped mountains and phenomenal skin care products.  Swiss Skin Care products are considered by many to be the best in the world because of the high standards, strict quality control guidelines and demanded perfection that comes with the pride of being called Swiss.

Gerda Spillmann Swiss Skin Care & Cosmetics are not fad products that have come and gone but quality skin care products that have proven results time and time again, over the past 65 years.  Formulating with only non-animal tested, 100% pharmaceutical grade ingredients, following the most strict quality control guidelines, including ISO & GSM certifications, plus the experience of Swiss research has given GS the power to combine the traditions of yesterday with the technology of the future.
