5 steps to curl your hair with a Flat Iron

Curling your hair with a Flat Iron is easy to do!  You need to start with a flat iron that is quality made so it won’t pull or snag your hair and will heat up to at least 400 degrees.  The high heat is important to help seal your hair strands.  The most commonly used size plates are 1.5″; but you can use varying sizes to create many sizes of curls.  Short hair is best with a .5″ flat iron.

Step 1: With clean, combed hair divide strands into 2″sections.

Step 2: Place a 2″section of hair between the hot (400 degrees) Titianium Plates

Step 3: Quickly turn the flat iron a full 180 degree rotation, be sure to have the ends of hair remain in path of the flat iron plates.

Step 4: Gently pull the flat iron through the length of your hair strands, all the way to the ends.  Note: the slower you move the tighter your curls will be, faster movements will result in more beachy type waves.

Step 5: Twist the results around your finger to keep ringlets, or run your fingers through them to create a stylish, messy look.  Then hairspray!
